From 16th till 22nd February, 2015, Maslenitsa festivities take place all across Russia. Also known as ‘butter week’ or ‘pancake week,’ the traditional Russian festivity is famous for its blini (pancakes) with many fillings and toppings, from sour cream to caviar, to salmon and all things sweet!
In Moscow alone, more than 500 events are planned to celebrate the Slavic folk holiday. The main events are set in the city’s parks, museum clusters and estates, as well as along pedestrian streets in Moscow, for example at Kuznetskiy Most beside "Budapest" Hotel. Participants of the "Pancake Fair" at Kuznetskiy Most promise to make more than 50 kinds of toppings and bake about 40 thousand a variety of pancakes.
"Budapest" Hotel is located in the heart of Moscow just few away from Red Square, so you can continue the celebration of Maslenitsa in the main square of the country.
